
Dr. Bárbara Marinho is a medically trained doctor with full GMC registration, with extensive international experience, having trained and studied in more than five countries, including the US, UK, Spain, Brazil, France, and Norway. She has collaborated with leading institutions such as Harvard University, NASA, the World Health Organization, Oslo University, and the University of Oxford, where she contributed as a Clinical Research Sub-Investigator. She has also completed the NHS KSS Global Health Education Fellowship and integrated global health, research, and leadership perspectives throughout her training.
Clinically, Dr. Marinho has experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, and a developing interest in psychiatric conditions. She has managed acute care, trauma, and outpatient services in diverse healthcare settings, applying evidence-based approaches to optimise patient outcomes. She has trained in ADHD assessments through the Global ADHD Network, using structured, evidence-based frameworks for neurodivergent conditions, and was member of the Neurodevelopment Diseases Academic Society in Brazil, engaging with research and knowledge exchange in neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions.
Her education complements her clinical and leadership work. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership, two MBAs (most recently in Health from UCL), an intercalated degree in Biomedicine from Queen Mary University, and an intercalated program in Women’s Health in Madrid. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
